Watch one episode and you’ll end up completely conflicted. On one hand, you are presented with scenes of blood, murder, ghosts, and capital punishment but on the other hand, you’ll see a dirty blonde husband and wife with three girls from elementary to high school age, with the house constantly amuck and with more scenes in the married couple’s bed then at a crime scene. This is Medium; a paranormal-type program (based on a real-life Medum Allison Dubois, played by the well-known actress Patricia Arquette) that I’ve watched on and off since 2008 and finally got more into it after the cancelling of ATWT. Although, to my luck, this show got cancelled in late Janurary of 2011. Anyways, I’ve always loved the concept of the paranormal and never really had the chance to exprience it for myself. Perhaps my interest in it is what prevents me from conntecting with them - who knows. But aside from that, this show is another example of the realitic portayl of life and love. The house is never completely clean, there are dishes in the sink, and the wife disagrees with the husband on fiances and if their oldest girl can go to a party with an older boy in school. This show, more than anything, gives me the picture perfect life that I want. Perfectly imprefect. Minus the ghosts, of course.
